vincent darré
Known for his baroque creations which flirt with fantasy and surrealism, Vincent Darré is a one-of-a-kind character in the world of decoration.
He started out in the fashion industry working for Yves Saint Laurent, Montana, Prada, Chloé, then as Karl Lagerfeld's right-hand man at Fendi, and as artistic director of Moschino and Ungaro. He left his career in fashion in 2008 to devote himself to creating furniture and decorative objects.
In 2016, he founded the Maison Darré at 13 Rue Royale in Paris, presenting the new "Renaissance" collection, a homage to the unique mastery of French craftsmanship.
As an interior designer, he worked on prestigious projects in Paris - from the Montana Hotel in Saint-Germain-des-Prés to the Schiaparelli fashion house in Place Vendôme and the bar Le Serpent à Plumes in Place des Vosges, always surprising with his audacity
and individuality. Recently, he curated an exhibition at the Musée du Mobilier National: Le Chic! Arts décoratifs et Mobilier français de 1930 à 1960.
His talent as a painter is showcased on fabrics, wallpapers, and in collaborations with Dior, Fred, Monoprix and many others.
As a decorator, furniture designer, scenographer, and artist, Vincent Darré will never cease to amaze with his intrepid nature, bringing poetry to the contemporary decorative arts scene.
